PHSS FOCUS ON FREEZE DRYING
 

BTL’s Kevin Ward will be chairing a seminar at the PHSS (Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences Society) meeting in Amsterdam in March.

The PHSS (formerly Parenteral Society) exists as a science-based forum for individuals active in the fields of pharmaceutical and healthcare sciences. Member’s interests typically cover R&D, manufacturing, quality control, engineering and other disciplines. This March’s meeting focuses on “Freeze Drying Challenges in Research and Development”.
The two-day programme covers validation, post-manufacturing control and cycle development, with lecturers from Pfizer and AstraZeneca among others. BTL’s Dr Kevin Ward will be chairing a seminar on the first day entitled, “Current Compliance Issues in Freeze Drying”. The seminar will include a workshop and a Q & A panel discussion.

The focus of this meeting will be on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and is designed to appeal to those in research and manufacturing professionals as well as those in academia. It will also provide a background into some of the regulatory hot topics and application of PAT to lyophilisation. A small table-top exhibition will accompany the seminar.
